cGIS Pro platform was successfully presented in the online finals of the “PROF-IT Innovation” contest and was awarded 2nd place in the “Digital Twin” nomination with the project “Digital Twin of Gatchina”.

The expert council gave a high assessment of the capabilities of the “digital twin of the city” implemented on the cGIS Pro platform. It included representatives of federal authorities, ministers of digital development of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, leading experts representing the scientific community and associations working in the field of information technologies. The demand for the platform in various spheres was noted: industrial holdings, state corporations and authorities.
The experts were particularly interested in the key feature of the project: the possibility of seamless integration of the most widespread IT solutions within a single “digital twin of the territory”. Importantly, this integration takes place without data migration and the need to retrain personnel, which greatly facilitates the implementation and use of the platform.
Another key opportunity was highlighted during the online final discussion: the inclusion of information models of capital construction objects as part of the data. This is possible regardless of what design tool was used to create them, which ensures flexibility and compatibility with different software solutions.
The project's online final presented compelling examples of integrating such best practices. Among them:
The innovative approach to creating a “digital twin of the territory” ensures a significant reduction in financial and time costs for project implementation. The cGIS Pro platform takes into account the peculiarities of the customer's IT landscape, which makes implementation quite efficient and less costly.
