GIS Functional

Visualization of 2D and 3D objects

The data visualization technology used supports simultaneous display of 2D and 3D layers in a single space:

Dynamic objects

The platform supports the display of objects whose coordinates change in real time. Visually, they can be represented as oriented icons or three-dimensional objects, as well as a trace of the trajectory of movement. This technology can be used, for example, to display cars, special equipment, or personnel on a map.

The available data sources are:

Map feature editor

The platform's built-in tools can be used to create and edit objects. They allow you to perform the following operations:

Data tables

Objects can be represented as an attribute table. In this mode, aggregation functions, data search and grouping operations, configuring the appearance of information presentation, and displaying selected objects on the map are available.

It supports exporting to standard formats, including spatial data and coordinate system conversion (CSV, PDF, GeoJSON, ESRI Shapefile, TAB, MIF/MID, DXF, GML, KML, KMZ)

The register of documents

The built-in subsystem for collecting and accumulating documentation, combined with the ability to quickly search for the necessary information, provides specialists with prompt access to up-to-date data and files attached to them. As a rule, these are design, technical and operational documentation, primary accounting information, survey reports and work results.

Documents can be associated with various types of objects hosted in cGIS Pro: objects on the map, annotations, BIM models and their components.

Communication Plan

The cGIS Pro can be used to build a consolidated communication plan. Information about networks comes from specialized information systems that are used to maintain a certain type of communication map.

Communications can be reflected simultaneously in two-dimensional and three-dimensional space. This allows you to combine internal networks from the BIM model with external systems.

BIM functional

Visualization of BIM models

The visualization technology that we use allows us to display on the user's screen only those objects that he can see at a given time. This makes it possible to view a collection of very complex models and work with them quickly enough.

The ability to work with BIM models quickly is very important at any stage of an object's life cycle: from design and construction to operation and repair.

Many models that describe various engineering systems of an object are displayed together in a browser window. However, they can be developed in different design environments.

Generation of floor plans

A unique advantage of cGIS Pro is the ability to build floor plans directly from the BIM model. This guarantees high accuracy, as well as full compliance with the object model and the resulting plan. Automating the process of creating floor plans saves time that is usually spent on manually creating drawings.

Using navigation in both 2D and 3D modes makes it easy to navigate the model. The specialist has access to the “top view”, which indicates the current viewing point, and viewing the object “from the first person” with the possibility of virtual movement on the selected floor.

Measurement tools

Standard and advanced measurement tools are available to the specialist in the model viewing mode and on the floor plan:

Construction of sections

The BIM Model viewer contains a tool that allows you to build sections of objects. Cross-section modes with one or more planes are available, as well as the use of a cross-section cube. This helps to analyze the internal elements of a building, its structure and engineering systems, and quickly find objects of interest and related documentation.

Cross-sections allow you to see the model in a cross-section, which provides an opportunity to better understand its features and examine individual elements in detail, which is especially useful when analyzing complex structures.

Annotations

In the BIM Model viewport, you can create annotations related to the operation of the facility. They may reflect detected violations, damages, and comments that occur, for example, when driving through a surveillance facility as part of a control activity.

Such notes can be a starting point for the process of eliminating violations. This is made possible by platform integrations with external systems.

Annotations can be supplemented with snapshots of the BIM model and comments, associated with specific elements of the object, visualized in space as a group of markers.

Working with data

Importing and exporting 2D objects

The cGIS Pro platform provides the ability to import 2D objects from external files. Using the built-in attribute editor, the specialist can correct the received data if necessary. After that, the objects can be saved to a layer that is editable by the current user according to the role model.

It supports working with files of the following common formats:

Importing and exporting 3D objects

3D models of objects in GLB or GLTF format can be uploaded to a specified point on the map for preview. In this mode, you can adjust the displacement and rotation of the object along the X, Y, Z axes, as well as zoom. After saving, the object enters the registry of three-dimensional models and becomes available to other users of the platform.

Importing and exporting tabular data

The data in CSV tables, with geometry descriptions in WKT format, can be processed by cGIS Pro import tools. It is possible to display them as objects on the map and as an attribute table.

You can continue working with the data through the built-in object editor or using analytical processing tools.

Point Clouds

The CGIs Pro platform allows you to work with clouds of laser scanning points. Clouds are a large collection of vertices in three-dimensional space. They are defined by the X, Y, and Z coordinates. Designed to represent the external surface of objects and operational control. As a rule, this technology is used to build models of terrain, buildings, quarries, embankments.

For comfortable operation, there are settings for visibility, point radius and multiplier in first-person mode. Common data formats are supported:

Panoramas 360

It is possible to link panoramic images of the area to the map, which are obtained by combining several individual frames into one large one. They allow you to get a more complete picture of the territory than ordinary photographs.

You can switch between images taken at different times, rotate and zoom. In addition, there is a smooth scrolling mode for the snapshot.

Streaming media

Connecting video streams from surveillance cameras provides a number of advantages for monitoring various objects and territories. This allows you to monitor events or production processes in real time, which makes it possible to quickly respond to incidents and take measures to prevent them.

The platform provides an opportunity to integrate data processing modules based on artificial intelligence. It can be used to identify a person, recognize actions and emerging events.

Integration development

The cGIS Pro platform has a wide range of standard features for direct connection to databases and web services, which are already sufficient to solve many tasks.

At the same time, if necessary, it can be connected to third-party solutions using REST technologies, data bus (ESB), message broker (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis), OData (integration with 1C).

One of the implementation examples is integration with the Pilot BIM environment of shared BIM project data for the automatic formation and collective examination of a consolidated model. Pilot-BIM objects and their attributes can be displayed directly in cGIS Pro and linked to other data. The integration screen allows you to search, navigate between Pilot-BIM and cGIS Pro objects, as well as display them online.

Digital models of terrain (DEM)

Building a height profile

Elevation profiles are an important tool for understanding and analyzing surface topography, which is of practical importance in various fields of activity.

Data on the territory obtained at different points in time can be compared with each other. This allows you to monitor objects in dynamics and predict the occurrence of certain events. This tool can be used, for example, to identify subsidence and leaching of soil, predict the development of landslide processes, and develop a project for the construction of linear facilities.

The resulting calculations can be saved in a repository for collaboration between specialists or uploaded to a JSON exchange file.

Calculation of the area of the raster

The platform allows you to calculate the values of certain parameters in specified areas of a digital terrain or terrain model. It is possible to compare calculated indicators for several models at the same time and calculate their differences.

The main indicators for calculating the area of the raster are:

Building isolines

cGIS Pro allows you to process data from digital terrain and terrain models. The raster registry contains a tool for constructing isolines (horizontals) – lines of equal absolute heights on the map. With their help, you can display the change in height visually, which makes it easy to determine where the hills, elevations and lowlands are located.

Generation of triangulation models

The platform has the ability to generate a triangulation model of the terrain. The virtual terrain is formed by a set of triangular faces built on the points of the digital model. The surface inside each triangle is a plane, and the triangulation elements are vertices, edges, and faces.

Split screen mode

To visually compare two images of the same area on different dates, you can use the split screen mode. When using it, the selected rasters are placed on the left and right sides of the screen. Navigation, zooming, and rotation of both parts are synchronized. This allows you to identify the differences between the images and mark them with appropriate annotations.

Monitoring and analytics

Data search

Advanced search tools allow you to quickly find the information you need, which significantly saves time for a specialist. The following features are available to the user on the platform:

Spatial analysis

The cGIS Pro platform contains a tool that allows you to identify spatial relationships between layers and objects in a web interface. The following types of interrelationships of objects of layers A and B are supported:

Geoanalytics

The cGIS Pro platform allows you to create and visualize the following types of analytical layers:

Routes

cGIS Pro has built-in tools for calculating the optimal route. The specialist only needs to specify the necessary points on the map and select the type of movement: pedestrian, car, cyclist. A route will be built based on the marked-up graph of roads and its parameters will be calculated.

We have experience in creating and using our own graph of roads for the implementation of the platform on closed industrial sites or, if necessary, building routes that take into account the specifics of the area.

Dashboards

Dashboards can be used in various fields where visualization of the received data is required. You can display information using graphs, charts, pivot tables, and other elements, which makes it clearer and easier to understand, as it helps you quickly and easily analyze large amounts of information. This allows specialists to identify problem areas and develop strategies to fix them.

Dashboards can be generated both by the platform's own tools and by external BI systems.

Analysis of telemetry data

The platform includes a flexible tool for visualizing telemetry data on key indicators and the condition of equipment, transport, special equipment or industrial installations in real time. This allows you to quickly and visually access the data and track its current changes.

The analysis of the accumulated information makes it possible to identify trends in order to make informed decisions about the need for maintenance or replacement of equipment.
